Scouts 14 or older and adult leaders interested in going on a 50 mile trek in Southern Colorado next summer need to sign up at the link below. We are exploring the interest and starting the planning. 2015 was our first trip to this area and it was a spectacular success. We expect this trek to take off quickly.

Troop 78 has a long tradition of offering three Eagle Required Merit Badges over the summer. Mark your calendars and work with your counsellors. Try to make it to all three classes for your merit badge - and we will have a make up date in August to wrap them up....

Josh will be laying garden pavers around the exsisting raised garden beds at the Hope House, a division on No Boundaries International.
The work will consist of removing the exsisting sod, pouring paving sand, and then arranging the pavers around the beds.

Review and train for backpacking. This campout is designed to accommodate some skills and training for the crew doing a 50 mile trek this summer. But, ALL ARE WELCOME. Backpacking requires teamwork and this is a great exposure to working as a team.
Project Description: Filling flower beds with soil
Location: Jones Middle School (NE corner of Indian Meridian and Wilshire)
Dress: Class B, plus bring some work gloves to help you shovel and move dirt!
Tools: They have all you will need but if you want to bring your favorite shovel that’s ok!
Food: Yes! Pizza at the end of the day!

Lake Arcadia day hike with lunch. Pack 78 has members interested in joining Troop 78 so we are including them on a fun day hike in our back yard.
Lunch will be made on a backpacking stove - which is a requirement for some of you taking the camping and/or cooking merit badges.
Eagle District will be holding a Merit Badge College at Oklahoma Christian University.
NO WALK INS will be accepted!
Cost is $5 and includes pizza and a drink.
Some Merit Badges require work PRIOR to attending the class. Pay attention to what may need to be completed before attending any particular class you sign up for....

Recycling services are being provided to the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy. 6-8000 bottles and cans need to be emptied and prepared for delivery to a local recycling center.
